Moving forward it’s important that you start focusing on your discipline. Disciplining your self to trust the process and follow your program in order to achieve transformation success.
The number one key to your transformation success will not be your motivation. It will be your discipline. Your self- discipline.
Self-discipline is about committing yourself to putting in consistent action to reach and keep your health and fitness goals.
Long after motivation has decreased it’s your discipline that will keep you on the path to your transformation success.
Self-discipline is about your willingness to control your impulses, cravings, and desires in order to stay focused on what you need to do in order to get to where you want to be.
For self discipline to take hold. The first thing you need to do is to prioritize your goal. Once you set your goal you will need to take actionable steps to get you closer to that goal on a daily basis.
This means changing some not so healthy habits that you currently have. Like, if you know that when you go to Starbuck's you don’t have enough will power to avoid the pastry section. Then you should stop going to Starbuck’s.
You will want to do everything possible to set yourself up for success.
Another thing you should do, especially in the first 30 days - that is extremely beneficial, is to log your meals. Whether it’s a food journal or it’s taking photos of your meals and posting them in our private meal tracking group. Journaling your meals will help you to stay accountable to what you’re consuming. And this is so important because your food choices will account for 80 to 90% of your transformation success.
Also, studies have found that when you journal your food you are able to reach your goals 30 to 40% faster than people who do not journal their food.
You will also need to stick to a consistent exercise regime. Consistent physical activity will help you ignite your metabolism, boost your energy, improve your mood, completely reshape your body and improve your overall well being. Increasing daily activities like getting in your 10,000 steps, playing with the kids, going for a hike or even gardening can also help to shed some excess calories outside of traditional exercise.
When it comes right down to it, self discipline is about consistently making healthier habits on a daily basis in order to make it part of your lifestyle. Taking small consistent actions that will help you form the healthy habits that will enable you to look great and feel amazing.
