Keeping Your New Year's Resolutions

Being healthier and more fit in 2019 is not only attainable, but it's realistically within your grasp. Fad diets and services promising specific weight loss in a specific time, however, are not only unsuccessful but they can also be very unhealthy.

 

For those of us over 40 rapid weight loss due to excessive dieting and over exertion are bad on many of our organs, but especially on the heart and kidneys. What many people that  get caught up in these diets and services don't realize is that everyone will get different results from these diets. And after 40 the negative effects on our metabolism and hormones can be irreversible if done too often.

 

When a fitness or diet service says "lose 10 lbs in 10 days" or "shed 4 inches per week" they are making promises that they simply cannot keep. If by chance you do achieve those results within that time there is absolutely no way possible that it could be achieved in a safe or healthy way. You'll end up frustrated, depressed and feeling much worse than you did had you just adjusted your lifestyle to include healthy, realistic and practical choices.

 

Focus on these three healthy components that I call the 3 "C's" to health and fitness success:

 

COMMITTMENT

Decide exactly what it is you hope to achieve in regard to your health, fitness and overall well being. Commit to it without wavering. Make sure that your goal is a realistic and attainable goal. This is a commitment you are making too yourself for your own health, fitness, well being and worth. And remember, you ARE worth it!

 

 

CONSISTENCY

Be consistent with a healthier nutrition plan and a workout program that will challenge your body. Consistency is 100% necessary for successful fat loss and fitness, nutrition or health goal you may have.

 

 

CONTROL

SELF control is the ultimate key to attaining and sustaining a body transformation. When you feel tempted, want to cheat or skip a workout you must practice self control. Remember the commitment you have made to yourself. Remember the goal you have set out to achieve and remember that you ARE worth it.
